Karen Moss has 30+ years of Human Resources experience, including her most recent position as the Director, People Operations at Epic, LLC. During her eight year tenure, Karen made immense contributions to the organization as a key member of the strategic leadership team, developing and implementing effective and comprehensive HR programs, policies and practices in talent management, employee engagement, benefits and wellness. She is incredibly proud of the Company’s integrated wellness program she built from the ground up.

Prior to joining Epic LLC, Karen led her own HR consulting business, Outsource Professionals, allowing her to balance family life and work. She is passionate about making HR accessible and built her practice on the philosophy that small businesses can and should offer a great work environment built on a solid HR foundation.

Before starting her own consulting business, Karen managed and directed the Human Resources Department at Prentice Hall Professional Software, a Division of the Fortune 500 Paramount Communications (NYSE). As an HR leader within the organization, Karen’s management responsibilities were truly holistic, including all aspects from planning and budgeting through execution.    

Karen is a member of The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).  She holds her certification as Senior Professional in Human Resources, by the Human Resources Certification Institute as well as SHRM Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resources Management. She is also a Certified PDP Administrator by PDP (Professional DynaMetric Programs), Inc. for ProScan, JobScan, and TeamScan (behavioral assessment tools). She is currently working toward becoming a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and looks forward to sharing her newfound knowledge soon!

Karen and her husband Joel reside in Atlanta, GA. She and Joel are avid supporters of their local Parkinson’s Foundation chapter and regularly participate in seminars and events. When she’s not working, you can find Karen at pilates class, walking her dog Cosmo, cooking new dishes and spending time with family and friends.

Karen is a graduate of Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Management.
